President

Nikki Jackson

GREETINGS!

I have found myself once again, the President of the WSCA.  It saddens me to say that I am now, without a doubt, the oldest participating alumni member! We still receive dues from alumni, but most all of them have discontinued their many years of service to our demanding club.  I must add for good reason, it’s not easy.

This club and its dedicated members are devoted to promoting and protecting the rights of fellow hound fanciers. We strive to support and improve the recreational use of hounds, the freedom to own, breed, train, handle and indulge in the companionship of the hounds that we have all grown to love. We also work to conserve our beautiful habitat and wildlife here in the Pacific Northwest.

What separates us from all the other Washington Hound Clubs are the following facts:

We are and will always be a Non-Profit Organization!

We annually make sizable donations to hound related and non-hound related charities!

We not only host competitions among hunters/handlers through the sponsorship of the United Kennel Club (U.K.C.), we also host grade dog events as well!

We hold annual events for our “Youth” because we know they are the next generation of Hound Fanciers!!

We invite all hound fanciers to join the W.S.C.A., contrary to the popular belief that “We are just a registered hound club”, we do NOT limit out membership to only registered hound owners nor will we ever as long as I can help it!

One of “My Personal Goals” for this year is to help build a stronger participating membership!

Feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns. E-Mail me at Blackheadedwalker@msn.com

Thanks,

Our History

The club now known as Washington State Coonhound Association was formally known as The Chehalis River Hound Club, which disbanded several years back along with the banning of running hounds on Big Game here in the State of Washington.  With limited opportunities for running hounds, we embraced what we were still legally capable of doing.  This club has come a long ways since those days, and I hope to see it go a lot further!
