Update on Saturday night: Dee Powell's Sam won the Nite Ch cast with +225 and Bobbie Stirek's LumberJack won the registered cast with +200...her second win of the weekend! Thanks Dee for sending me the scores.

Our 1st anniversary using Yelm as our Fall/Winter club house came and went under chilly but clear October skies!

Friday night had a Nite Champion Cast and a Registered cast with two dogs each. Bobbie (with I'm A Lumberjack) and Travis (with Let There B Rock) Stirek each won their respective casts! Those Strawberry Mountain Hounds are tough to beat. Thanks to Dee and Darren for making the long haul from eastern Washington for Friday night...even if not all of you made deadline, that hurts, but we have all been there!

Saturday's Bench Show had 9 dogs entered. It was Bob's first time as a BSJ, and he said it would have been easier if they weren't all nice looking dogs with good confirmation.  Champion male was Nikki & Jesse's Duke, Champion female was Travis & Bobbie's Country Girl. BOS male was Bernie's Slim Jim and BOS female was Nora's Bounce.

The Field Trail had 5 dogs entered all in the registered class. Melanie's Jane got line and tree in the first heat. Bernie's Slim Jim got line and Nora's Fern got tree in the second.  Since I do not have the paperwork tonight...it gets real sketchy for the final line and tree, Nora's Fern and Melanie's Jane were there and so was I and that's all I can say!

The night hunt for Saturday had one Nite Ch and four registered dogs. The two casts took off and since Travis let himself be shang-hai'd into being Hunt Director, I took off behind them. They might very well still be hunting as I type! I'll update when someone lets me know.

WSCA really appreciated everyone coming and supporting the club.  We had a business meeting after the Bench Show with a couple really cool ideas! Please go see the updated Events page and keep checking back for the rest of the dirt =)
